Long Island Chabad House Marks Decade of Service

A gala banquet dinner celebrating Chabad’s 10 years of service to the greater West Hempstead, NY community took place Sunday night, March 18, at the prestigious Garden City Hotel. Chabad of West Hempstead, under the leadership of Rabbi Yossi and Chaya R. Lieberman, is also responsible for activities at neighboring colleges Hofstra University, Adelphi University and Nassau Community college.

Distinguished guest included: Nassau County Legislature Vincent Muscarella, New York State Assemblymen Ed Ra and Brian Curren,and town of Hempstead councelman Edwars Ambrosino. Guests of honor were New York Islanders Children’s Foundation and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and Jeff and Sarah Haar.

The event was graced with the presence of senior Long Island Shluchim: regional director Rabbi Tuvia Teldon and Rabbi Anchele Pearl.

Mark Schiff from Los Angeles, one of the funniest, brightest and best stage comics, capitavated the audience with a spectacular act that held the crowd from start to finish.
