Lecture Lifts Spirits of Niagara Falls Jewish Community

On Thursday evening, Tu Bishvat, Chabad of Niagara Falls hosted a lecture on the topic: Planting Seeds of Happiness, delivered by renowned lecturer and author Rabbi Lazer Gurkow.

Rabbi Gurkow spoke to a capacity crowd on the critical importance of happiness, and how to avoid the pitfalls of depression. He also offered constructive tools that lift our spirit and help us find joy in life.

People walked away both informed and inspired. “This was an entirely new perspective for me,” said one attendee as she walked out the door. “I have never quite looked at life this way.”

Culling from both Classical Torah and Chassidus, Rabbi Gurkow, in his unique style, blended humor and anecdotes with insight and inspiration.

“Challenges cannot be avoided,” Rabbi Gurkow said in his hour long presentation, “but how we respond to them can make all the difference.”
