From Wheat to Flour and then Matzah

Every child knows that we eat Matzah on Pesach, but how is it made? Children got to make their own Matzah from scratch, beginning with grinding wheat into flour, then making the dough followed by rolling it and baking it into matzah. All this took place at the Model Matzah Bakery of Chabad of Syracuse.

Rabbi Mendy Rapoport along with Shachar Luz, who volunteered to help out, gave the excited children an interactive ‘tour’ of how the Matzah is made.

Syracuse, N.Y. Chabad, Rabbi Yaakov Rapoport, director, conducted a week-long series of “Chabad Model Matzah Bakery” events in the Syracuse area.
