Shluchim Farbreng in Crown Heights
Last Sunday night as part of the hachonos for Yud Shvat, The Beis Midrash L’Shluchim of Merkos Suite 302 organized a unique farbrengen for the Rebbe’s shluchim who were visiting New York in honor of this day.
Together with Reb Shlomo Zarchi, some 30 shluchim joined around the table for a farbrengen that lasted from ten p.m. until three in the morning. Another 200 shluchim from around the world were able to live and breathe this farbrengen thanks to it being broadcast live.
Rabbi Zarchi farbrenged about the way the Rebbe educates and raises us every year through yet another Basi L’Gani maamar. “What do you think?” asks Reb Shlomo, “this young bochur today who is ready to fly to Alaska and preach Yiddishkeit, this is his own gadlus? It’s years of toiling and investment of the Rebbe!”
“We were receiving emails with comments from around the world,” says Rabbi Menachem Mendel Yusewitz of BML. “One of them wrote to us, “Finally, a Chassidishe farbrengen in my mokom hashlichus!” In one encouraging moment, when Reb Shlomo forgot a particular detail in the story he was telling at the farbrengen, BML immediately received a number emails filling in names, dates, and references to fill in the blanks.
“While growing with the Rebbe and Chassidus on yet another Yud Shvat,” says Rabbi Zarchi, “the world will never be the same….”
