Why I Love Chabad at University of Washington

Chabad at University of Washington, led by Rabbi Elie and Chaya Rochel Estrin, recently held a benefit event to celebrate their sixth year on campus. At the event, they showed this video, which really describes what the shluchim on campus do, and the effect they have on their students.

For those of you who would like an inside glance into the effect Chabad on Campus has on Jewish students across the world, this video is a must-see.

Chabad at University of Washington has been enriching the Jewish experience at the University of Washington with scores of innovative programs including the Jewish Student Leadership Academy, Jewish Heritage Week, concerts, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and more.

We have touched and enhanced thousands of Jewish Huskies with our unique brand of personal, warm and fun Jewish interaction. Programming is only one facet of our work – more importantly, we provide a home away from home for the thousands of Jewish students at the UW and surrounding universities.

At Chabad UW, all students are welcome, regardless of background, affiliation, and level of observance. We aim to empower students to explore Judaism at their own pace, making it meaningful and personal. We are truly every Jewish Husky’s home!

I love the Seattle area. I lived here my whole life. But I go to Crown Heights every year to visit family. Chanukah is my favorite holiday out of the whole year!

Rabbi Eli and his wife took in all 32 of us for over 3 years they are unbelievable dedicated to doing whats right and have the most positive view on life. There is not enough room to write about all the great things being done at and around the University by them. The best way to advocate their good deeds would be to send a check to Chabad at UW to they can do even greater good!!!
Keep up all the good work hoping to see you soon!
