CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The girls of the Online School joined together from all around the world for the annual “Day of Celebration” on Thursday, February 4th during the international conference of Shluchos.
The program began with a real life learning class! Each class learned a Sicha about Chof Beis Shvat – together in real life, which for some was the first time! It was like everyone was on the mike at the same time!
Then it was time to get creative! The girls each decorated photo albums, that they would use to store pictures of the memorable weekend!
Mothers, sisters, grandmothers gathered for the next part of the program. the crowd heard from the online school principal, Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld and from Rabbi Moshe Shemtov. Mrs. Leah Herman of Raleigh, NC, shared a little bit about her perspective as a parent, and Morah Shkedi spoke about what we were truly celebrating.
But the highlight was the online schools very own student speaker Mushky Wineberg, who expressed: “The connection that we each have with our fellow Shluchos is something that I look forward to on a daily basis. When I log on to Online School, I know that I am connected with other girls like me that understand what it means to be one of the only (as of yet!) frum children in the city.”
A big thank you to classes G4, G5, and G6-8 for the presentations that you all worked so hard on, and to all our speakers for sharing your thoughts with us!
But the fun was just beginning! Music, dancing, games, and singing were on the agenda next! The girls enjoyed the afternoon together with their classmates – in person!
