A Hundred Teens Rock for Jewish Youth

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA [CHI] — Last Sunday Hebrew High of Orange County hosted 100 teens for the first summit of its kind. The day of unity and pride brought together high school students from 23 public high schools across southern California. The highlight of the event was an 8th day Jewish Rock concert. Sapir Ohayon (pictured), a 12th grader from Los Al Hebrew High, walked away with VIP tickets to the Clippers vs. Hornets game on April 1st with Chris Paul. The raffle was sponsored by MarcusAdvertising.com of Marina Del Rey.

“The energy was high, and the networking that was going on was amazing, I even met a bunch of students from San Diego,” says Shira Stone, 10th grader Cypress, we were thrilled with the event.”

The Hebrew High program in Orange County is run by Chabad of Los Alamitos/Cypress, Yorba Linda and Mission Viejo. The summit is the first time the centers joined together and invited all Jewish High School students to join the fun.

Plans are already in place for next years summit .
