Released Time Lag Ba’Omer Rally
QUEENS, NY [CHI] — Friday, Lag Ba’Omer, the Jewish Released Time Program, under the leadership of the NCFJE hosted a tremendous rally on Lag Ba’omer at the Sefardic Jewish Center of Queens for all Jewish children attending Public Schools in the Queens/Staten Island area.
An overwhelming crowd of over 500 children, parents and grandparents were treated to hours of great entertainment.

Following davening and the energetic recital of the 12 Pesukim the amazing storyteller Yitzy Erps held the crowd spellbound with his inspirational story, complete with superb sound effects, and he was then followed by a professional juggler who wowed the crowd with his phenomenal talents.
Children enjoyed delicious hotdogs and drinks with great emphasis placed on saying Brochos before and after eating each of the foods.
Prizes were raffled off including a mountain bike and many other cool games.
Boruch Hashem 47 children signed up to Ois B’Sefer Torah and many signed up to have a Jewish summer at Machane Yisroel day camp!
A big yasher koach goes out to the enthusiastic staff for creating the vibrant atmosphere of the rally.
Special thanks to all the RT staff which go on released time each week to over 70 schools for making this event the great success that it was, and of course thanks to all the children who made the rally happen.
