MASK Marks 20 Years of Saving Lives

Mothers and Fathers Aligned Saving Kids (MASK), an organization dedicated to helping families struggling with all mental health issues – including alcohol and drugs, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this Sunday in Brooklyn, which will be attended by New York City’s First Lady Chirlane McCray.

The Buffet Breakfast will feature grateful parents who will share their journey with MASK, as well as an award ceremony to thank New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind for his efforts with helping families in crises.

Therapist appreciation awards will be handed to Rabbi Dr. Bentzion Twerski, PhD, and Bassie Rosenblatt, LCSW. The evening will be hosted by Jay Buchsbaum.

The event will take place Sunday morning, February 12, 9:15am at Bison and Bourbon, 191 7th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215. Suggested donation is $100.

The work that MASK does is so vital to everyone in our community. MASK is a beacon of hope, helping parents to navigate through the most difficult times of their lives. It is amazing that 20 years have passed since it’s founding, and yet the need for this organization is more important than ever.

I have tremendous hakaras hatov for Ruchama and her staff. I had 2 struggling teens and thanks to them they are both functioning adults today!! I shudder to think how the story could have ended much differently if not for them. I get emotional just thinking about it!
