Shabboses blizzard of 2010 came and went, and what a big storm it was! Now weather forecasters warn of another possible storm tonight, in the meantime one longtime reader dug up this photo of a group of kids in an igloo and he said “I have no idea when the picture was taken or who is in it, maybe your readers can identify them?”

The picture is believed to have been taken on the rooftop of Oholei Torah in the ‘80s or early ‘90s.

    I once saw a video of Rabbi Gabi A”H went he went to get dollars by the Rebbe, and the kid in the right, with the glasses, looks like Him!

    Rabbi Mendelson O.B.M. was such a good man, he put so much energy it to his students, this pic is just one example, he did the same thing with my class a year earlier

  • REAL BLIZZARD

    Dont know who the kids are but why does it say the shabbos 2010 blizzard??? that sprinkling of snow we had on shabbos in NY cant possibly be called a blizzard. When I was little a snowstorm meant it snowed heavy for a few hours and you had a foot of snow as a result,in a blizzard it would snow for DAYS and no one was able to leave their houses for 2 days after it stopped. When you did you had to dig out of 4 feet of snow minm.. Ah… THOSE were the good old days. I havent seen a snowfall like that in prob 10 years.

    being 1 class under these guys i remember it clearly, it was built by the boys in Rabbi Mendelson’s class and he oversaw the project, we even helped out a little.

    it was very cold then but in the igloo it was warmer…..

    ahh what nice memories!
