Parents Beam with Pride as ULY Students Awarded

The United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Mishnayos B’al Peh Event took place on Sunday in the Dorit Hall of the Yeshiva. Parents and grandparents came to this grand event to watch with pride as their children were being awarded for their tireless efforts in Mishnayos and Tanya B’al Peh this year.

The Mishnayos B’al Peh project encompasses all 9 grades from Pre-1A through 8th grade, and is a year-long project. Throughout the year, Talmidim could be found studying Mishnayos, Tanya and Yedios Klaliyos (general knowledge) by heart at every free moment, whether during their recess, on their way home, or with their spare moments at home. All year, the classrooms and hallways are alive with the ringing voices of the Talmidim reviewing the holy words of Mishnayos and Tanya.

In sync with the passion for Mishnayos B’al Peh in Yeshiva, several sixth graders took initiative and arranged an early morning Cocoa-Club. Twice a week, Talmidim arrive extra early in Yeshiva to learn Mishnayos and Tanya B’al Peh and are served a fresh cup of hot cocoa.

At the event, over 100 Talmidim were recognized and awarded for their exceptional Hatzlacha and Shkida in Limud B’al Peh. S’gan Hayeshiva, Hatomim Chezky Langsam shared a D’var Torah with the crowd. Chasan Hayeshiva, Hatomim Menachem Mendel Rendler led the recitation of the Rebbe’s Kapitel.

Rabbi Y. Simpson, Menahel of the Yeshiva, emphasized the value and importance of Mishnayos B’al Peh. He also impressed upon the parents the great value to continue motivating and encouraging  the Talmidim at home to learn Mishanayos and Tanya B’al Peh.

The twelve Pesukim were led by the S’gan Hakitas. Before reciting his Possuk, each S’gan Hakita shared a few short words of inspiration about the Possuk in a short video clip.

A special video presentation encapsulated the tremendous success and reach of the Mishnayos B’al Peh program in Yeshiva and at home.

The Talmidim are truly a great source of Nachas to their parents, their Rebbis and the Rebbe.
