‘Naale’ Program for Young Shlichim a Success

Bnos HaShluchim of Tzfas held a six day special Chanukah program for a bunch of lucky students. While the rest of the dorm residents went home for Chanukah, the Bnos HaShluchim group remained and enjoyed fun activities tailored to their specific interests.

The Thursday before Chanukah included a refreshing jeep trip in the Upper Galilee, out in the cool, lush outdoors with rolling mountains and green valleys. Back in Tzfas, the girls had fun creating edible art out of fondant during a baking workshop. After this, the madricha (Rivka Kurtzweil, Ukraine) proudly projected a film she produced featuring clips from the 5777 Bnos HaShluchim year so far.

On Friday, the group had a fascinating, guided tour of Old City Tzfas, after which they returned to the dorm to get ready for Shabbos. Shabbos Bnos HaShluchim-Naale always has a family feel to it, and the close atmosphere helps the group form lasting bonds. During the meals, students sang songs from the song sheets they prepared, shared Divrei Torah with each other, and tasted from the yummy desserts they baked before Shabbos. After Shabbos, the first Chanukah candle was lit for the Bnos HaShluchim by Rabbi Shlomo Raskin, CEO of Beis Chana. Following the candle lighting, the students had a blast exercising with Kangoojump shoes at a local Tzfas gym.

Sunday included a tour of the Ha’apala Museum in Chaifa which dramatically displays the history of Jewish refugees from WWII who heroically made their way to the shores of Eretz Yiroel. Sunday night’s menorah lighting was hosted by the dorm principal, Mrs. Keren Chadad, and included a delicious home-made dairy meal.

On Monday, the Bnos HaShluchim made the most of their Chabad House skills doing mivtzoyim in a Kiryat Shemonah mall. After this, they went to a nearby bowling alley for a few rounds of strike and spare. They returned to Tzfas to light menorah with the family of their Naale director, Mrs. Bassie Gruzman. This was followed by a teen oriented dreidel spinning competition replete with prizes and Mrs. Gruzman’s famous cheesecake. The grand finale of the night was attending a Tali Avrahami movie in a local hall.

Tuesday’s activity was a bus ride to the city of Cholon where the students had a meaningful experience at the Children’s Museum’s world famous “Hazmana L’Sheket” exhibit which educates the public to the realities of the hearing impaired. It was a captivating and informative encounter! After this, the students were dropped off in Bnei Brak from where they continued on to their individual destinations for the rest of Chanukah break.

Beis Chana-Naale program for Bnos HaShluchim is in its sixth year with forty students from the Ukraine, Russia, Japan, England, Ireland, Mexico, Venezuela, the USA, and France. The program is geared to Bnos HaShluchim who lack a local high school and seek a Chassidish atmosphere of the highest standard in a well-established mosad that provides a rigorous education. Naale tuition and board is paid for by the Israeli government.

  • Naale Free Tuition & Board

Hmmmm……. interesting that for these girls, the moisad isn’t greedy and is satisfied with all expenses paid by the Israeli government. Unfortunately and sadly not the same for any American who joins an Israeli Seminary, which “rakes in” all expenses paid by the Israeli government for each international student & then they charge double and triple “overboard” (not overhead) to the American parents. SHAME!!!!

As a parent of a girl there now I can say that every parent looking for an amazing, stimulating, chassidishe environment that is full of chayus, hashpo’oh, and loving care must look into this program. Everyone involved in the program are doogma chayas, and treat your daughter as their own and with the continuous flow of pictures and info on happening events there you feel like you are living there with them. Oh and tuition and board is free! Thank you naaleh!
