‘National Night Out Against Crime’ in Crown Heights
Millions of Americans mark the first Tuesday in August as “National Night Out Against Crime” by hosting a picnic on the streets in front of their home. The initiative is intended to foster better relations between the police and the community, and to ‘take back’ the streets from crime.
Each year the event takes place on a different street in Crown Heights, and this year it took place on Crown Street between Rogers and Bedford Avenues and featured inflated rides, a barbeque along with representatives from many city agencies that provided information to residents.

I wish more people had shown up- guys, the police are on our side. They stand out on the streets to protect us, please support them rather than being bitter towards them.
