Crown Heights Day Camps get Together for Show

Today, all the Crown Heights boys’ day camps got together for a special acrobat show, which took place in the Oholei Torah ‘Zal.’

      Even the idea of acrobat i’m not pleased. the goyim bring with them who they are, and since everything has an affect why do the children need to see this? isnt it enough what they see outside? the twins from france are great – as the children see what their doing WITH a nefesh elokis!by seeing them, the keli is kosher inside and out.

    Isn’t it sacrilegious?
    What message do the children get about Kedushas Beis HaMedrash?
    I’m shocked that this venue was chosen and noone intervened?

    Dont judge my son so clearly told me that they coverd the aron kodesh for the event and that the room was made to be able to host events that are not necessarily for a beis midrash or shul.
    (Ps unfortunately most camps do not do that in their camp shul and they should learn from OT)

      This would have taken place in 770 with the aron kodesh covered, would u have said the same thing? its not the right place for these kinds of events.

    You guy are a bunch of racist bigots I don’t think that the fact that it was in a Zal is a problem. They many extra curricular event’s in the beis medrash throughout the year, and how many times do people have to see the same show of the French twins before it gets boring. Get over it its 5775.

    And to the point that a condition might have been made when the place was built, to allow such things. While that might be true and make it permissibly from a strict Halachic point of view (I don’t know). We are in special times now… Are the kids aware of this? Will they know to have proper respect and decorum in Shul and Beis Medrash? (unfortunately NOT – look what goes on in 770)

    IMHO many of the problems of our generation begin with the lack of proper respect to Shul, Davening and Learning!

    However, based on the Halacha above, unless you are concerned about public health etc. there should be no problem smoking in the Beis Medrash while learning, years ago this was commonplace!!!

    Wat is wrong with showing something more entertaining than the twins from France???? They have been around for years let the kids experience something new! And if the acrobats were white you wouldn’t have said anything! It’s totally fine to bring then down! Do you want to see the same people doing the same tricks over and over again! That’s ridiculous! It completely makes sense not to use the twins. Thank you ohelei Torah for the wonderful work tht you do!

      Your aggessive attitude just proofs that i’m right. btw if the arcobats were white i still would have not wanted them, so dont assume something that is wrong. now to see the same tricks over and over again.. rather see the same video of the Rebbe over and over again then see something goyish. thanks for your understanding!
