Photos: Boys Compete in the Chidon Hamitzvos
Yeshiva students from around the world took part in an exciting competition, marking its second year since its return.
Students from across the globe competed in a competition of knowledge and wits in the Halachos of the Sefer Hamitzvos. The finalists from schools around the world traveled to New York to compete in a finale before a crowd of spectators.
The main event, which included a performance by Eli Marcus and a jeopardy style competition between three teams of students took place in the George Wingate Public School in Crown Heights.
The competition was inspired by the Rebbe’s request to unite Yidden through the study of the 613 Mitzvos of the Torah. The Rebbe repeatedly emphasized that this effort will hasten the coming of Moshiach.
