Photos: 1000’s at the Levaya of the Sassoon Children
Seven brothers and sisters perished in a terrible fire on Friday night and thousands of community members turned out to attend the Levaya in Boro Park.
This victims, Yaakov Sassoon (5), Sarah Sassoon (6), Moshe Sassoon (8),Yehoshua Sassoon (10), Rivka Sassoon (11), Dovid Sassoon (12) and Eliana Sassoon (16), passed away as result of injuries they sustained due to the fire which authorities believe was started by a malfunctioning hot plate.
The mother Gila bas Tziporah (45) and child Tziporah bas Gila (15) both survived but remain in serious condition and the public is asked to continue saying Tehillim for them.
The Levaya took place at Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park, where thousands of friends and community members turned out alongside firefighters, police officers and politicians. From there the Levaya proceeded to the airport for them to be flown to Israel where they will be buried.
