Lebanese Refugee Inspires Women at KSCVK Auction

Packed wall to wall, women and girls turned out to hear the enthralling story of Brigitte Gabriel, who spoke at Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kallah’s annual auction event, which benefits the vital work they do in helping marry off Chassanim and Kallahs.

The evening opened with an auction viewing, giving attendees the opportunity to purchase tickets for over 120 prizes that were being offered.

A lavish buffet included sushi, a meat carving station and desserts.

The room was tastefully decorated in the theme of vintage Crown Heights and Kingston Avenue.

The highlight of the event was the much-anticipated speech by Brigitte Gabriel, a Christian Lebanese refugee whose family was persecuted and targeted because of their faith by Muslims after they seized control of the government. She spoke of her understanding of the persecution of Jews, and her ardent support of Israel’s right to exist.

Following her speech, the crowd was treated to a performance of young girls playing violin and guitar.

The auction drawing was then held, and the winners were announced. A List of the winners can be seen by clicking here.

  • Small corrections re: The music

It was a group of “young girls playing violin and guitar,” AND KEYBOARD. (We know the keyboard player and she did a great job!)

ALSO, the group is from Mamesh Music’s girls’ division, and they are terrific, thanks to their great directors who work tirelessly to bring out the best in these young musicians!
