Miami Hatzalah Celebrates Expansion with Family Fair

Hatzalah of Miami-Dade County in South Florida hosted an exciting Family Fun Day and barbecue at The Shul of Bal Harbour this past Sunday, celebrating their recent expansion of service to the Jewish communities of Surfside, Bal Harbour, and Bay Harbor Islands.

The event had fun for all ages: moon bounces, an obstacle course, a balloon artist and face painters. There was plenty of food for all, and a photo booth where families were able to dress up their kids as Hatzalah members and seat them on Hatzalah’s motorcycle ERU for a portrait.

The turnout was overwhelming, with nearly 400 people in attendance.

In January, Hatzalah of Miami-Dade extended its coverage area, which formerly included Aventura, North Miami Beach and Miami Beach, to include Surfside, Bal Harbour, and Bay Harbor Islands. Through this wonderful event, community members from all three areas were able to learn about the benefits and services this incredible organization now has available in their thriving community.

Thanks to the hard work of Hatzalah’s dedicated responders and volunteers, the event was a tremendous success.
