To temporerily suspend ones free will maybe problematic

its free will to temporarily suspend your free will.., otherwise its not free will..
Perplexed
It was my understanding from Rabbi Groner that the Rebbe is against hypnosis -very confused as to why our camps would endorse and allow this to happen?
To remporeriy suspend ur free will is a shaila
To voluntarily submit to “suggestion” is a problem
Albeit very very entertaining
The Rebbe generally did not allow the use of Hypnosys due to the fact that it requires the temporary suspension of ones will
Fake
None of these kids were hypnotized. They were playing along and pretending. The guy is an entertainer, not a real hypnotist.
Skeptic
And the educational value of this, is what?
If it is real, u have big problems. If it is fake, so what is the message? To bluff?
We have enough bluff.
In Nevel, I don’t recall we had this kind of show. We had a farmer bring his cow and showed us how to milk. It was authentic, halachically acceptable, and perfectly entertaining.
Mosad
I agree.
And then you snapped out of it...
He must have been a talented hypnotist to make you think that you were in Nevel watching a cow get milked!

The same value as sports.

Skeptic
Sports are excercise and a long accepted form of recreation for young students. With This show you have entered a new realm, the realm of entertainment. Now you have to start asking questions as was done above. Your answer is empty and faulty. Try again.
But I still love u, cuz it’s the Nine days and you’re essentially a nice guy.
