New Shiur Geulah Umoshiach in English for Bochurim

Anyone who walked in to 770, this past Thursday between 7:30 and 8:00pm, wondered what was the cause of the large crowd gathered around the center table.

Over 50 Bochurim were leaning over and cramming in to hear the Shiur on the Sicha of Chof Ches Sivan 5751, given by the world-renowned lecturer and public speaker, Rabbi Simon Jacobsohn, who so happened to be involved of the editing of this Sicha, among many, many others.

He began with the question, how would you explain to an outsider what are the Rebbe’s accomplishments in the world and how different the world would look without the Rebbe. He went on to explain the new Tekufa which started on Chof Ches Sivan 5701, with the arrival of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin in America, as bringing Yiddishkeit and especially Chassidus to “Chatzi Kadur HaTachton” – the lower hemisphere, which is the central topic of the Sicha.

He then connected this with another famous Sicha of the year 5751, also on the 28^th of the month, the Sicha of Chof Ches Nisan, explaining that by the Rebbe giving the job over to the entire generation we have yet another stage of in bringing Elokus into the Tachton itself as the work is being done by the Tachton, stressing that the situation in which we find ourselves nowadays, as painful as it may be and as difficult as it is, is actually the epitome of “Avoda BeKoach Atzmoi” and making this world a dwelling place for Hashem through the work of the Tachton itself, especially through the Torah and Mitzvos of the Bochurim who didn’t even see the Rebbe.

To conclude, he turned to those assembled with inspiring words of encouragement, recommending and even urging the Bochurim not to leave the Sicha at words only, rather to bring it into action and lead that revolution the Rebbe is waiting for us to make and is obviously giving us all the Kochos we need to make it happen.

The organizers hope that this first weekly Shiur Geulah UMoshiach for English speaking Bochurim has laid strong and sturdy foundations for many more successful Shiurim, even larger and even more effective in weeks to come.

This is all plan B, however, for we hope and pray every moment that the Rebbe will be revealed and our eyes will witness the wonderful moment when the Shechinah returns to Tzion, then there will be no more Shiurim for English speaking Bochurim for the prophecy of “Az Ehefoich El Amim Sofoh Bruroh” – will be fulfilled and all the nations of the world will speak one language in harmony and unity.
