Bochurim Complete Minshayos in Memory of R. Dubrawsky OBM
Students from Lubavitcher Yeshiva and Oholei Torah’s 7th and 8th grades, along with Zal Bochurim, studied and completed the entire Shisha Sidrei Mishna Thursday night in honor and memory of Rabbi Lipa Dubrawsky. Thanks to a Bochur who felt crying at the Levaya is not enough.
Hatomim Levi Druin, who learns in Yeshiva with Mendy Dubrawsky, witnessed how when Rabbi Mendel Labkowski OBM , Shliach in California and Mendys uncle, was not feeling well he would go around and ask that people say Tehillim for him.
At the Levaya Levi sobbed along with the hundreds who were there with him, he wondered though what good was crying going to do, so he spring into action, deciding that completing the entire Mishnayos would be proper and befitting, and he set out in hopes of pulling of this feat by Thursday night.
Over 300 Talmidim and Bochurim – from Lubavitcher Yeshiva’s 6th and 7th grades, Oholei Torah’s 7th and 8th grades and Zal Bochurim – gathered in the Zal of Oholei Torah last night and together they did it. All of the Shisha Sidrei Mishna were completed in Memory of Rabbi Lipa Dubrawski.
In order to make the accomplishment even more exciting, a set of Pocket Mishnayos and Pocket Lekutei Sichos were raffled off.
Levi Druin told CrownHeights.info that “Rabbi Lipa Dubrawsky once said that whenever you have a problem or a difficulty in life, you should take out a Sefer and learn something. Wanting to encourage that I decided that a Sefer that is easy to carry around would be most befitting.”
After completing the Mishnayos and the raffle everyone was treated to Pizza, Soda and Fries.
The endevour was made possible thanks to Hamafitz Judaica, Judaica World, Mercaz Stam and anonymous Bochur who sponsored $200.
