Florida Fathers and Sons Gather for ‘Epic’ Farbrengen

Epic – Simple definition of the largest father and son farbrengen gathering South Florida has ever seen.

The continuous growth of the Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami, Fl was on full display as the need to host its grand events have now been outsourced to even larger ballrooms. Over 350 people packed the social hall of the Shul of Bal Harbor, as they graciously hosted the Lubavtich Education Center students and fathers.

Joining forces with their brothers and sisters of Tzivos Hashem worldwide L.E.C.’s very own Talmidim have and continue to learn well into the thousands of lines of Tanya by heart. Certainly a befitting way to usher in Rosh Chodesh Nissan and Yom Hakadosh Yud Aleph Nissan.

An evening to honor them, award them and give nachas to their well deserving fathers was truly an enjoyable event. The evening began with father and son learning a Sicha together and going over L.E.C.’s Nachas report. The crowd enjoyed a heartfelt niggunim medley rendition by Chazonim (Father, son, and grandchildren) Rabbi’s Lebovic. Sixth grader Shuee Shaulson shared an inspiring story of Tanya Baal Peh and its amazing powers after which his younger brother Yossi eloquently chanted 35 lines impeccably and received the loudest applause of the night. Evening concluded as Program Director Rabbi Yakov Garfinkel awarded each student with their very own brand new Tzivos Hashem Weiss Edition Haggadah and certificate of achievements. Students stood proudly with their parents celebrating their tremendous success.

Special thank you goes to Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar for hosting the event, Yankee and Devora Andrusier for helping coordinate the event, Rabbi Beny Korf for sponsoring the meal, and Mrs.Rachel Basso for her endless hours of volunteer work in designing the layout and décor. Tremendous thank you to Rabbi Shimmy Weinabum for ensuring the seforim arrived in timely and organized manner and for his endless devotion to Talmidim worldwide.

The evening was a huge success, parents and students left excited and inspired knowing mission accomplished, but time to begin anew!
