Camp Gan Israel Brazil Celebrates 33 Years
This past month commenced the beginning of the camp season in Brazil. The sound of happy children running and playing has once again filled the beautiful tropical grounds of Colonias de Ferriras. Mango and avocado trees grace the beautiful fields and bunk house areas.
The girls session which just finished had a total of 200 campers including a Teen camp. The boys session has 120 campers with a Yeshivah camp for Mesivta aged Bochurim.
The camp offers a spiritual atmosphere together with lots of sports and fun. The spacious grounds have soccer fields, basketball courts, two swimming pools, a mini golf course, a rope course and a big playground.
The campers also enjoy different trips from camping to water parks and lots of other different extracurricular activities.
The camp is directed by Mrs. Marcia Eliezer under the Shliach to Sao Paulo Rabbi Dovid Weitman.
