6 to 10 Inches of Snow Heading for NYC

More snow and cold weather is expected to start the year 2014. Weather reports say that Winter Storm Hercules is expected to unload six to ten inches of snow in New York City starting Wednesday night.

AccuWeather.com Chief Operating Officer Evan Myers said, “The storms will not organize fast enough to make the perfect storm, but it will cause a significant amount of snow to fall over a large area.”

Temperatures will be low, around 14 degrees Friday morning with a high of just 16 and then fall as low as 5 degrees that night.

Winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour Thursday night and all day Friday will make it feel below zero at times.

Temps are expected to be in the 30s Sunday and Monday.
