Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Reb Yehuda Hans OBM
With sadness we inform you of the sudden passing of Reb Yehuda Hans OBM of Flatbush at the age of 82. He was fondly known as the Rebbes ‘Kapote Maker’.
Reb Yehuda was the sole survivor of his family, all of whom had be killed in the holocaust. After fleeing the Nazis he came to the United States where he eventually settled down in Flatbush and opened a tailor shop in the lower east side of Manhattan where made Kapotes.
He was known for making the Rebbes Kapotes.
He is survived by his children; Raizy Soroka, Chaim Hans, Yanky Hans.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday and will be leaving from the Shomrei Hadas Chapel at around 12:00pm, from there it will continue to a beis hachaim in New Jersey.

He was a gift to the jewish people. He also made for Reb Moshe and most of the Rebbes and Rosh Yeshivas. He told me once it took him two and a half days for to make a kapata and they lasted for years. It was such a treat to go to him.
