Morristown Students Reach Out to Rutgers Students

This past Friday afternoon, a group of Bochurim learning at the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown visited Rutgers University in central New Jersey to reach out to Jewish students on campus.

The Bochurim were brought down by Rabbinical College of America’s newly established Rutgers Jewish Outreach program, an affiliate of Chabad on Campus international and Chabad Lubavitch world headquarters.

The Bochurim laid Tefillin with dozens of Jewish students at Rutgers, while also distributing Shabbos candles and Jewish literature to the students. Among the students who laid Tefillin were a number of ‘Karkaftas,’ who laid Tefillin for their first time ever.

These Bochurim will continue to visit Rutgers University every week, while assisting the newly established center with other programs throughout the coming year.

We are so happy for Rutgers to have these amazing guys doing amazing stuff.
B”H Rabbi Pinny works tirelessly to make sure that no Jewish student is left behind.

    Very good mivtzoim, good work.
However, number 3, a huge building that is full i would not consider snoozing, IMHO.

I am a Rutgers graduate of class of 2012, and am close with many Chabad Rabbis. I hate to break it to you, that the so called full building you talk about is functioning at less that 10% of its capacity while programs like Rutgers Jewish outreach and others are flurishing and booming!

    flurishing??
    you did not graduate Rutgers..
    there is no such word,
    its spelled flourishing.

      Hey Mendy C.
If i were to identify myself, and who at Rutgers i am friends with you would be a little taken a back. I would hate to start a thread here similar to the one on Dansdeals forum which covered a close Rutgers friend of mines story. But we shall leave it at that.

To #3 and #5 apparently you havent been at chabad recently the place is on wheels. If the hall could fit 700 seated and 300 come for friday night we dont call that 10 percent. The brand new jewish dormitories are near full and the only kosher meal program serves 3 gourmet meals daily in chabad, and they have a daily minyan
