The Professor spoke to Kirschenbaum about his survival of the war and how he never gave up hope. He then spoke about his current activities all over the world. The Professor inquired as to the the purpose of Kirschenbaum’s trip to Poland and expressed great interest in the late Lubavitcher Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of blessed memory—specifically his major influence on world Jewry and perspective on public events .

Following the meeting the two watched a film of the Lubavitcher Rebbe titled “Challenge”, in which the Rebbe urged each person, in his or her personal and communal life, to never be satisfied with yesterday’s achievements or today’s successes, but to soar tomorrow to even greater heights.
