Historic: Feuding Satmar Rebbes Sit Down Together
A historic moment captured in this photograph has been making waves throughout the frum Jewish world. Both Satmar Rebbes, Reb Aharon Teitelbaum from Kiryas Yoel and Reb Zalman Teitelbaum from Williamsburg, who have been feuding for decades, have sat down together, along with other Admorim, Rabbonim and experts, to discuss how to reverse the growing opposition to the practice of Metzitzah B’Peh.

Wondering
Satmar feuds. Bobov feuds. Should i continue?
We don’t have enough of our own problems?
Why is this on “crown heights info”?
Money for Nothin-
Chabad Mohelim would never argue on this point… it’s brought down by the alter rebbe in shulchan aruch, and that’s that. If one chabad mohel was brought into the room with these Satmar rabbis he would expound the issue at length and make it “CLOR”… but first, he’d have to wear a construction HARD HAT.

You call this sitting together? They don’t look at each other. ZL is brooding the entire time. In the video, he make faces every time his brother says one word… This is “Sitting down together”?
Put the Boyz to Work, No Time to Argue!
Well, obviously, this hassidism goes way beyond the letter of the law!!! Go get ’em Tiger!!!!
the visionary
they have not been feuding for decades, as the article states , just about 10 years
B-suros Tovos!
To # 19:
They are not arguing about this point. They also learn Shulchan Aruch Harav and are very Klor on the issue. They are discussing ways to make it Klor to the secular and medical world, who oppose it. And you need to live with the current times, no hard hat needed these days. I work in Williamsburgh and was invited to speak about the Alter Rebbe on Yud Tes Kislev in more than one Yeshiva (Cheyder), and sang Podoh B’Sholom with a Satmar 1st grade class at their rebbe’s request. A Gut Gebenched Yahr Tzu Klal Yisroel!
Cutting Edge of Leadership
In the top picture, seated 2nd from the left, next to R’ Aharon of Satmar (who is 3rd from the left), is the Pupa Rebbe, who is also a practicing Mohel! Being that part of what a Rebbe does is to remove the spiritual Orlah from his Chasidim’s hearts, the Pupa Rebbe has his work cut out for him- B’gashmius Uv’Ruchnius Gam Yochad!
Halevay by us!
It appears that some clarification is needed to explain why this is historic and can be a lesson to others. It is indeed sad that two brothers can be so far apart (due to a major power struggle) as to not go to each others simchos. However, the fact that they can sit down at the same table, putting aside their personal differences for the purpose of promoting Torah and Mitzvos, is a powerful lesson. May we see similar pictures of such meetings taking place in our community!
Older
Reb Aharon is the older, in Kiryas Yoel.
Reb Zalman Leib the younger, in Williamsburg.
