One of the topics discussed was that the Bochurim should take upon them to learn an extra hour of chassidus the next day – Sunday morning.

“Time is the greatest commodity” Rabbi Gordon said. “Therefore I propose that we wait to change the clock until Chassidus tomorrow morning”

So the plans were that the bochurim would get up normal time at 7:00, start chassidus normal time 7:30 and learn for an hour. Only then change the clock an hour back and then start learning chassidus again at 7:30 like a normal day. Which means that the Bochurim would learn 2 ½ hours of Chassidus as opposed to 1 ½.

B”H there was a very nice turn out – aprox. 25 out of 45 Bochurim plus all 6 Shluchim were sitting in Zaal learning throughout the entire 2 ½ hours.

For the optional extra hour of chassidus the bochurim learnt the Maamar titled “V’Avroham Zaken” from Sefer Ha’Maamorim Melukat 1, which speaks about the importance of time.

“It was amazing to see the amount of bochurim that gave up an hour of their precious sleep and participated in this Seder to learn an extra hour of chassidus in the morning” the Mashgiach for Chassidus said. “The enthusiasm and the liveliness of the Bochurim during this Seder was great”.
