Guest Speaker Follows in Father’s Footsteps

The annual Oholei Torah Dinner is less than a week away, and its office is in high gear with the many preparations.  Oholei Torah is honored to have a special guest speaker at this year’s dinner: Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon, Shliach to the San Fernando Valley, CA.

Rabbi Gordon is well known for his electrifying talks and his many shiurim that have been broadcast internationally.  Rabbi Gordon is one of the most sought after speakers in Chabad, and is internationally known through his online courses given on Chabad.org.

There is historic aspect to this appointment, as Rabbi Gordon’s father, Reb Sholom Ber Gordon, OBM, Shliach to Maplewood, NJ, was the Master of Ceremonies and Guest Speaker at the Oholei Torah Dinners for many years. Rabbi Gordon had a special, close Relationship with Reb Michoel Teitelbaum, OBM, founder of Oholei Torah.

The evening’s honorees come from both within and without of the community, including the Ostrow Family, who were former members of the Brooklyn Jewish Center. R. Mendel and Channy B. Drizin will be Guests of Honor, and a memorial tribute will be made to Michael Rosenberg, a dear friend of the Deitsch Family.

Parents, faculty members, friends and supporters will gather this upcoming Tuesday, May 27th, as Oholei Torah celebrates its 58th Year. For reservations or more information, please visit www.oholeitorah.com, or call the Dinner Office at 718-483-9000.

…not only that Rabbi Y. Gordon will be the speaker at this event, but also:
It’s great to see the image here of the holy face of his father, Rabbi S. B. Gordon, a”h, our esteemed rabbi of Maplewood, NJ.
Rabbi and Mrs. Gordon (a”h) are surely kvelling in Shamayim!
