Maple Street Shul celebrates 34th annual Melava Malka

This past Motzoai Shabbos Vayaikel-Pekudei, The Maple Street Shul celebrated its 34th annual Melava Malka. The shul which has always been on the border of Crown heights has been maintained through the dedicated work of its President rabbi Eli Moishe Blachman.

At the Melava Malka the refurbished reception was dedicated to the memory of HaChossid R. Berl Junik. R. Berl was very close to Beis Horav. At the Melava Malka his son a Mispallal in the Shul related many stories he personally had with the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.

Eli Blachman greeted the guests on behalf of the Shul. Rabbi Sholom Jacobson the Mashpiah in the Shul Chazzered a Sicha from the Rebbe. R.
Moishe Rubashkin gave greeting to the members on behalf of the Kehillah.

Dr. Jacobson long time Baal Koreh was presented with a silver Becher for his devoted work on behalf of the Shul.

    Keep up the good work.

You are basically the pioneers for expanding the boundaries of Crown Heights.

We need more people like you!

Crown Heights needs to expand like they are doing in Williamsburg. YOu are setting a great example.

I am an old member of Maple Street and a former Nitzig from the shul. I may be biased, because Eli is my uncle but he is totally dedicated to this shul and it is in his zechus that the shul is as successful as it is. I have since moved away from CH but it is still the only shul I have ever felt totally at home and comfortable in. Eli, Avremel Slavin, Yisroel Karp and Yossi Katzoff are more dedicated to perserving the Maple Street Shul than any group of people Ive ever been associated. Yasher Koach

I think that people dont relize how much this Shul ment to the Rebbe.

Eli has done an amazing job keeping this Shul up week to week and year to year.

I don’t know if Katzoff does anything for the Shul accept talk about the latest news in CH. Hey you need that too.

For someone who went on Shlichus some 22 years ago, it is so heart warming to read this type of News from CH, How Youngeleit like E. Blachman Sheyichye and Y. Katzoff Sheyichye and all the rest are so devoted to a Shul in the Rebbe’s Shchuneh.

And especially close to my heart, is when I saw the Juniks lined up at the podium, I grew up with that family, am a classmate of A.B.J.and love and respect the family.

Hay guys keep up the Ahavas Moshe and keep up the Ahavas Yisroel and you’ll be a Dugma Chaya to our entire Shchuna, and all of Lubavitch and Klal Yisroel.

With Blessings for Moshiach Now!! & Hisgalus Now!!

(Hi A.B.J. – It’s me, my last 3 digits on the Cell are 770 , talk to you soon iy"h)
