5 Firefighters Hurt in Crown Heights Blaze
Five firefighters were hurt while battling a fire at a Crown Heights funeral home this morning. The injured firefighters were taken to New York Methodist Hospital, with one in serious condition.
The blaze started at a funeral home near the corner of Nostrand Ave. and Bergen St., at approximately 10:00am.
The family that owns the funeral home lives on the upper floors of the burned building.
Officials are investigating what caused the blaze.
