Ten Regional Farbrengens Unite Yaldei Hashluchim
In preparation for and celebration of Yud Tes Kislev, 430 yaldei hashluchim from 27 states and 14 countries around the world united via ten online farbrengens in three languages, thanks to MyShliach of Merkos Suite 302.
Beginning with the first farbrengen on Sunday night for yaldei hashluchim in East Asia, and culminating with the tenth farbrengen on Wednesday for those in South America, children joined forces in the spirit of Hakhel and connected with peers from throughout their respective regions.
The children recited the Yud Bais Pesukim and then enjoyed an audiovisual presentation of the story of Yud Tes Kislev. After singing Padah B’Sholom Nafshi, the yaldei hashluchim wished their friends—many of whom they’ve met at MyShliach’s regional shabbatons—a heartfelt lechaim and continued strength to carry out their shlichus.
Using the farbrengen as a springboard for growth, and specifically so during this year of Hakhel, the children undertook to increase in the quality and quantity of their Chanukah mivtzoim by distributing menorahs to as many Jews as they can; they will share photos of themselves doing so and earn terrific prizes.
“The farbrengen gave Tzvi such a chayus!” wrote shlucha Mrs. Chana Tiechtel from Tempe, AZ about her son’s experience. “Thank you, once again, for doing a stellar job!”
“We extend a tremendous yasher koach to Zushi Rivkin and Mendel Weingarten for coordinating and leading the farbrengens,” says MyShliach director Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz.
MyShliach is a division of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch’s Suite 302.
