Shloshim Event to Honor the Memory and Legacy of Mrs. Chaya Laine OBM

A Shloshim gathering will be held on Monday, Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, October 12, in memory of Mrs. Chaya Laine OBM, beloved teacher and longtime principal and educator in the Bais Rivkah High School General Studies Department.
For decades, Mrs. Laine devoted herself to the education and development of generations of Bais Rivkah students. Through her wisdom, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence, she guided countless students and worked closely with faculty members, leaving a lasting impression on the school community.
Those who knew Mrs. Laine remember not only her commitment to academic excellence, but also the care, guidance, and personal attention she brought to her work. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, touching the lives of students and teachers and helping shape the Bais Rivkah community over many years.
As family, friends, former students, and colleagues gather for the Shloshim, organizers are also seeking to preserve the many personal memories that reflect Mrs. Laine’s profound impact.
As part of the tribute, a commemorative book of stories and anecdotes from former students and staff is being prepared and will be presented to Mrs. Laine’s family.
Former students and staff are invited to share a meaningful memory, story, or anecdote about Mrs. Laine and the impact she had on their lives. Even a brief recollection can help capture the unique influence she had on so many people.
Submissions must be received by Tuesday, October 6 in order to be included in the commemorative book.
The Shloshim gathering will provide an opportunity to reflect on Mrs. Laine’s life and legacy, and to remember the wisdom, guidance, and dedication she shared with so many throughout her years of service.
The event is being organized by The Laine Family together with the Event Committee: Morah Teichtel, Mrs. Sharfstein, Mrs. Heber, Mrs. Blesofsky, Miss Geisinsky, Mrs. Abramowitz, and Mrs. Blau.
