New Online Pizzeria Compromises on Price, Not Taste

Imagine biting into a delicious slice of fresh, hot kosher pizza; the crust is thin and toasty, the sauce flavorful and rich, and the melted cheese just won’t let go of the triangular delicacy. Now imagine that the pizza you are eating cost only $11.95 for a full size pie. No, you are not dreaming – this is now a reality.

Crown Heights is all abuzz about a brand-new pizza shop in town, with pricing that harkens back to the good old days when you didn’t have to put your home up for mortgage to enjoy a delicious hot slice of New York City’s favorite food.

This new pizzeria is different than your typical joint, where you schlep to the store and wait while they prepare your order. This is an online pizzeria: just log onto SauceNcheese.com, place your order (or call it in if you are over 65) and your pizza comes straight to your door in under 30 minutes. It’s as simple as that! You can even make an account and store your information for speedy checkout in the future.

“Without the need for a costly sit-down area, we were able to compromise on the pricing of our pizza without compromising on the quality or taste,” said SauceNcheese.com founder Zalmy Wolff.

“Growing up in this community, I was always appalled at the lack of competitive pricing on many household necessities which seemed to be prevalent in other Jewish communities,” he said. “I’m so glad I found a way to offer this delicious product at a price which makes it much more affordable to many families and individuals who could really use the savings.”

SauceNcheese.com uses only the finest, freshest ingredients to make their pizza, under the strict supervision of the OK. They eschew the common practice of baking pizza in advance and letting it sit while it waits for a customer. Instead, every pie is made only after the order is placed, giving it that unique, fresh taste when it arrives at your door.

Go ahead, check it out at SauceNcheese.com; you can thank us later.

Why does one have to be over 65 to call in an order? B”H many families in CH do not have internet access at home for obvious reasons!

    Offer Whole Wheat or Spelt
    offer drinks
offer sides like salad or french fries

if you offer curbside pickup then you need to give an address

  • sounds awesome

now we just need to know the taste! Are they planning anything else on the menue besides pizza?

  • NOACH HEBER YOUR TOO GOOD

YOU HAVE SHINED ONCE AGAIN, NOACH PLEASE CONTINUE SERVICING THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE…

  • Roni Roni

I tasted it. The Thin crust loaded with fresh stuff is heaven. Being overweight and diabetic, I love this pie. I can eat more of it than the other GOOWEY pizzas in Boro Park.

  • clean??

Are visits welcome so we can see cleanliness? Serious, don’t want to order without seeing place first.

  • awacs

Another ad disguised as a news article. -(
Also, how come in the ad/article, the price is $11.95, bt $13.95 on the website?

  • What-s the Catch?

Are you telling me that you’re selling Pizza for 12 bucks a pie, and all other places in CH sell it for at least 18, does that mean that they are ripping the heck out of me?

  • Ms. L

Finally crown heights will pay decent
Price for a pizza pie like any other Jewish place
such as Monsey, Boro Park, Miami , LA…..
We are paying so much more then all this places
and we let the owners do whatever they want..
    THANK YOU ZALMY WOLFF
for caring about the community and bringing a good competition to crown heights .
We wish you lots of success, will be happy to be your klient :-)

To #8: All Pizza is Hamotzi (even if they say it’s Mezonos.)
If you’re eating bread that fills you up, (such as pizza) you are supposed to wash. Many Rabbonim don’t hold from Mezonos bread.

To #15: The Hechsher is the OK (its on the site)

To #28: Regular pizza is $11.95. add vegetable
    toppings= $13.95

  • thank uuuu

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sooo cool just made an order yummm cant wait to tast in 300 min

  • Nudnik

To awacs – PLAIN pie is $11.95, with (unlimited) toppings it’s $13.95.

To “the catch” – read the article. In the restaurant you’re paying for the location, the seat, and the atmosphere. This place is just a kitchen.

  • jack danials

you can make a lot more money if you let people do pick up also, just saying………..

  • This is awesome!

This should satisfy both “old” and “new” school – it’s not a social hangout where boys and girls will mix together, or where people can hang out and just drey around. For youth, it’s a cool and extremely affordable invention to have pizza so easily available and to order it on a website.
As someone who lives in an area with tons of non kosher take out, there is also a business where they only do delivery of warm cookies and milk! Just an idea to also offer warm cookies – could be a “late night” special a few days a week!

  • Truly Disgusted

Doesnt compromise on price? How do you explain that you are busy you RAISE the price. If his concept is to give back hed keep the price the same and make money on volume,. But here again hes no better than anyone else taking advantage of the customer. He jumped to charge more money.. I call that Chutzpah.

  • pzl

creative, clever idea to meet the needs of a community who need to watch their spending in this economy. Great

  • dee

People seem to not understand what it takes to offer a product like that at such a low price. The whole point is that you pay such a low price BECAUSE there are no frills! No extra toppings, no side dishes, JUST pizza. Those extra things add to your base cost which means you have to charge more for your product. Having fresh vegetables means someone needs to go out and buy the product in advance, prep time and spoilage. I used to work in a copy place where there was a sign posted on the wall. “There are 3 ways to do a job, quick, well and cheap, If you want it quick and cheap it wont be done well, if you want it well and quick it wont be cheap. You cant have your pie and eat it too unless your willing to pay more.

    piz·za
    [peet-suh] Show IPA
    noun
a flat, open-faced baked pie of Italian origin, consisting of a thin layer of bread dough topped with spiced tomato sauce and cheese, often garnished with anchovies, sausage slices, mushrooms, etc.
    Also called pizza pie.

  • With new price it-s not such a deal

    1 reg. pie
    Subtotal
    $13.95
    Tax
    $1.24
    Grand Total
    $15.19 add 1.00 tip =16.19 not such a steal.
It does not beat kingston Ave. Tues. night special of 14.00 a pie.

  • SO YOU RAISE PRICES

“due to the overwhelming demand”…SO YOU RAISE PRICES , yeah we really appreciate hearing that… that is not a good long term Business Plan….probably one of the Pizza Stores will meet your demand, with their own delivery service.

  • AP

    Just ordered my first pie.
    Very nice service, okay pizza.

Will diffidently order from them again!
    Wish them lots of luck!

  • to MOSHE P.

Thank you for clarifying for everyone that the pizza is hamotzi. I have taken upon myself to wash on all pizza. Thank you again.

They can charge so cheap because they don’t have prime real estate rent prices (ie: Kingston Avenue). They also don’t need as many employees because they only serve pizza and don’t need anyone up at the registers. Normal restaurant expenses (electricity, heat, water) are a part of the price you pay for your food. Furthermore, do notice that as soon as the “demand was high” they raised their price. Probably because they needed to hire more staff. Either that, or they figure they might as well make the extra 2 bucks on you cuz you’re so excited to try it. I wonder…..

  • First impression

Sold out at 2pm even after raising your prices? Not a good way to start your business. First impression = FAIL.

  • !!

I’m assuming that price went up bc they had to hire more workers?
Also Kingston doesn’t deliver the 14$ special on Tuesday…

  • Brainless

What’s the chachma of $14 a pie if it’s never available…. I’ll stick to the gourmet pizza shop in the neighborhood for $20 a pie. They are always reliable.

  • GG

To all those complaining about the raise in prices:

This is Economics 101. The price of something is determined by its supply (how much of it there is) vs. demand (how much people want it). Since more people wanted the pizza, it’s only natural that the price went up accordingly. Conversely, should it happen that demand drops, so that they have surplus pizzas, they might well lower their prices in hopes of attracting more customers.

  • Why always so negative ?

The guy just opened! Give him some time! Best way to learn is through trial and error.

  • Pizza is amazing!

Pizza was great! Just need some more guys delivering to make sure it comes on time
