Crown Heights Toddler Falls 3 Stories

A 2-year-old boy has just fallen out of a window on the 6th floor of the 580 Crown Street Condos, and landed on a balcony 3 stories below. He is in critical condition.

The incident occurred about 15 minutes ago (11:30am, Wednesday).

Hatzalah hurried to the scene, but initially had difficulty figuring out where the boy was. When they finally found him, they had to climb down a ladder from another balcony to reach him.

The Hatzalah volunteers immediately administered CPR, then rushed the boy to the Kings County Hospital Trauma Center, where doctors are currently fighting to save his life.

Update: Please say Tehilim for Yisroel Levi Yitzchok Halevi ben Sarah Rivkah for a speedy and complete recovery.

Update (2:00pm): The child has just gone in for surgery. The doctors say his situation is still very critical. Please continue to say Tehilim for his complete recovery, which accomplishes more good than the spreading of false rumors.

Update (3:20pm): The family has just added Chaim to the boy’s name. He is still in critical condition. Please continue to say Tehilim for Chaim Yisroel Levi Yitzchok Halevi ben Sarah Rivkah for a speedy and complete recovery.

  • WINDOW GUARDS

If there areever kids in your apartment/house, make sure that EVERY window has a window guard!!!!

  • It happened to my child

B”H my child wasn’t hurt. My heart goes out to the parents but like them, we didn’t have window guards on all windows then. PLEASE – they are relatively inexpensive, so install them. And don’t forget chicken wire to cover the balcony bars, a small child can easily squeeze through. May the baby have an immediate refuah. I said Tehillim, but I am happy to say more. Is there a link to dividing up the sefer?
