Pedestrians Harassed by Emotionally Disturbed Person

On Sunday, Shomrim were notified that a man was harassing and touching people – including women and children – on Kingston Ave.

Several volunteers immediately rushed to the scene, and caught up with the man on President Street between Kingston and Albany Avenues. A brief conversation determined that the man was an emotionally disturbed person.

Further investigation revealed that the man had escaped from a mental health care center on Eastern Parkway, who had reported him missing not long before.

Shomrim contacted the NYPD and alerted them to the man’s situation. He was escorted by police back to his care center.
