Bnos Chomesh 2013 Students Graduate

On Sunday, June 16th, Bnos Chomesh celebrated the graduation of its fourth graduating class. Now entering its seventh year, Bnos Chomesh has become the place to go for high school girls who seek a warm and personalized approach to their education.

“At Bnos Chomesh I have learned a lot… a lot of information a lot of ideas and a lot of living examples of how to be a good Jew,” said graduate Mushky Seldowitz in a touching speech. “But most of all, my teachers taught me, that one should never accept limitations as an excuse for not succeeding. Most of our limitations are self-imposed.  Somebody told us we are not good at something, and we chose to believe them.  Or Hashem put us on this earth with a challenge, and we choose to allow ourselves to be held back by it. But I have learned that if you believe in yourself the sky is the limit!”

Mushky’s heartfelt words echoed the sentiments of her classmates and their parents. The cheerful mood at the graduation grew as each member of the senior class stood up to say a few inspiring words. A retrospective slideshow spanning the last few years at school reinforced the positive feeling in the room.

Aviva Meyers spoke of her past struggles and ultimate victory in school. “[At Bnos Chomesh] I gained confidence through academic success, involvement in school programs and projects, and so much more!! Today I am thrilled to say that I have passed all my regents and finals and I’m now ready for the next step! My Future!”

Tears of pride and joy were shed as Pearly Engel thanked the parents, and each graduate went out into the audience and handed her mother a long-stemmed rose.

Over 150 people attended this uplifting event, showing their love and support for the students and staff of Bnos Chomesh.

A big Mazel Tov to the graduates all of whom are headed for seminaries around the world!

    So Nice!

This must be an amazing school!
How lucky are these girls for having the opportunity to go to this school! Kudos to parents who respond to their children’s needs!
The students should go from strength to strength!
    Mazal Tov!

    p.s
Dina is an amazing person who sees people for their potential, and actualizes it!
I think all educators can learn from her, that the most far reaching effect is for a student to know that a teacher cares about them. The student will remember this for a life time!

(btw where was the graduation held?)
