Video: Softball Spectators Remember Leibby at Games

Thursday night, between the first and second games of the Crown Heights Softball League, a group of non-Jewish residents from the northern part of Crown Heights got together with the Jewish players in the league and stood together to remember Leiby Kletzky HYD.

The group, comprised mostly of people that come to watch the softball games, came with the balloons at the beginning of the Thursday games and stood together all holding balloons to remember young Leibby. “We as parents feel your pain” was what the leader of the group said.

The story that has taken Brooklyn by storm was not lost on these people, and as the balloons were released one woman cried “G-d Bless You!” All players present were then handed a white or blue balloon. As tears flowed from many of the people there the balloons were released to the clear sky above.

This horror has touched everyone. Now is the time to take this communal grief & channel it into positive action.

this story affected ALL mothers & fathers Not only jews.I was dissapointed that all people interviewed on tv only spoke of the hurt in OUR community. The whole wrld was watching this story & was affected by it.Please teach our children to ask any mother with children (jewish or not) for help when needed, not a single male walkig on the street..

God Bless the wonderful people who thought of this tribute to an innocent child that was taken from us so cruelly.
