Oholei Torah Gives Honor to Rabbi Rapoport

On 2 Tammuz, Oholei Torah had a Tzeischem L’Sholom gathering to honor Rabbi Pinchus Rapoport. Rabbi Rapoport has served as menahel of the intermediate department of the yeshiva, grades 3, 4 and 5, for the past sixteen years. He has distinguished himself with his dedication to his talmidim, his wisdom and his humility.

Rabbi Rapoport has chosen to return to teaching which offers gratification whilst helping talmidim on a more individualized level.

Rabbi Hershel Lustig, menahel of the yeshiva, addressed the gathering. He said that Rabbi Rapoport reflects the words of Mishlei that describe Torah – ‘Her ways are pleasant and her paths are peaceful’.

Dr. Shlomo Mahana, school psychologist, spoke about how much Rabbi Rapoport will be missed. All present wished Rabbi Rapoport hatzlacha in his future capacity as a teacher in the yeshiva.

I’m sure he has the right intentions with this decision and that this will raise many more Oivdei Hashem.

Rabbi Rapoport, you are great. Keep making me feel so lucky to have had you as my principal.

  • an admirer of yours (and your wife-s)

An amazing and shining individual!! He has a balance that not many people are able to do: humility, Talmid Chachom, VERY smart, modest, a chossid, is able to relate to everyone on their level, ALWAYS around/walking through the halls, always available, commanded an air of respect, a very funny sense of humor, balabatish… the list can go on and on.

His future Talmidim are SO VERY LUCKY!!!!

Wish he was able to teach EVERY SINGLE GRADE!!!

  • A gratefull first Talmid

His first year in OT was as a 5th grade teacher – my teacher. His innovative methods and care left a lasting impresion on our class. we speak about it till today.
    Thank You.

  • I WAS TOUCHED

I happened to learn in Ohalei Torah, and I must say that although I was a trouble maker, a bit immature, and got on peoples nerves, Rabbi Rapoport treated me with LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, and RESPECT; This is because he felt that the only way to TRULY raise a student is by showering him with love. If not for the way Rabbi Rapoport treated me I would not be the person I am today (what happens in childhood affects the person for life!) Thank you so much and may Hashem shower you with only revealed Brochos

  • ONLY GOOD MEMORIES

Rabbi Rapoport, you are so amazing. I can only remember good things about you and the way you treated all the students who were sent to you (even for making trouble) with warmth. I’m sure that where you’ll go you’ll be a shining star!!!
