Oholei Torah Mesivta Continues Dancing in Honor of Adar
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — In honor of the month of Adar, the Rebbe says, we must add in Joy and celebration; more than the rest of the year. Especially when the Joy expresses itself in physical dancing, the natural expression of great Simcha.
In Oholei Torah Mesivta the Bochurim are celebrating the month of Adar by dancing every night. After a day full of learning Torah with enthusiasm, the Bochurim break out in dance right after Seder. Then they learn a Sicha with Chayus.
On Thursday nights, instead of the regular five minute dance after Maariv; there is a much larger dance with a band and instruments. Making the dancing even more lively then before. All the Bochurim, together with their teachers and Mashpi’im, dance and sing until the early hours of the morning. The Bochurim are joined by many other Yeshivos, schools, and Baalei-Batim as well.
Throughout the dancing, there is Mashke and refreshments served, so the dancing should be able to continue with alot of Chayus. This past Thursday night, Yehuda Piamenta with his band played for several hours straight. The Yeshiva of New Haven, CT came in for the dancing. In the pictures below this article, you can see Aaron Frank on the piano and Shmulie Liberman on the guitar.
The Adar-Dancing committee invites the community with the Bochurim to come join the dancing, every Thursday night of this Adar. Please bring your freinds as well. Don’t forget, it’s Hakhel.
