Crown Heights Man Beaten to Death Following Botched Robbery

Police are investigating the death of 38-year-old Michael Brown as a homicide after he was found semi-conscious and spitting up blood. Police said that he was a victim of a robbery earlier that day and that he fought off his attackers, who later returned and beat him to death.

Police officers from the 77th Precinct responded to a call of a robbery at a bodega on Utica Avenue and Sterling Place at around 4:00am on Saturday. The victim, 38-year-old Michael Brown, was accosted by a group of five black men who attempted to rob him.

The group kicked and punched the victim after they were unsuccessful in taking any valuables from him. Police said that the victim refused medical attention.

Later that day, at approximately 5:30pm, police responded to a call of an injured man at 1444 Park Place, between Utica and Rochester Aves. Officers discovered a 38-year-old man, the same victim from the earlier robbery attempt, who was semi-conscious and spitting up blood.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to Interfaith Hospital, where he was declared deceased.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are seeking the following five suspects in connection with the incidents.

    It’s so hard to loose a loved one, but knowing that he was brutally murdered is horrifying.
    I’m sorry for your loss.
    I hope all 5 murderers are caught and sentenced to live without parole.
    Heartless men like this will not be reformed.

    Pre meditated murder should get all five the death penalty, but really they had such a bad childhood, we need to feel bad so maybe if they just say I’m sorry, that would be enough for liberal NY. But really, saying on sorry, it’s cruel maybe if they just had some money, let’s give them money and counseling. But maybe…….

      There is a condition that must be met in order for a Black life to matter:

      The Black must be killed by either a white or half-white person. If he is killed by another Black, his life does not matter.

    I believe that any person convicted of taking another persons life should pay by having their body parts harvested and put in a bank until needed. That way they can repay society for some of the damage they have done. Prison is not a deterrant ,it is often more comfortable than the homes they come from.
