It was a nightmare hour of bloodshed for the NYPD. In barely more than 60 minutes last night, three city cops were shot in two separate incidents.

In the first, off-duty cop Juan Pichardo, 34, was shot in the leg as he stopped armed bandits from robbing his used-car dealership in The Bronx, said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

A short time later, plainclothes Transit cops Michael Levay, 27, and Lukasz Kozicki, 32, were struck by bullets fired by a gun-toting thug whom they had spotted walking between subway cars in Brooklyn, Kelly added.

The subway gunman, who had a lengthy rap sheet, was shot dead.

The three wounded officers are expected to survive.

  • GET HIM OUTTA HERE!!!!

But Mr. MORON Mayor, the GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS shot dead the bad guy. If they hadn’t or if they had been unarmed civilians, THEY would be dead!

You get it, you just spin it to your advantage.

When do you end your corrupt term????

  • To Number 1

The Mayor is not saying police shouldn’t carry guns. He’s saying tthe bad guys shouldn’t have access to them. Your criticism makes no sense.

  • DeClasse- Intellectual

But # 2: Bloomberg;’s anti-gun laws were designed so that bad guys would not have access to guns. We all know how his gun laws are working. Bad guys have guns and good guys are the perps. did you know that now in New York, the family of the man killed in the train incident coudl sue the policemen and city for excessive use of force, brutality, denial of civl rights in civl court and win. There was a case not too long ago where I person sot a home invader who had a knife heading upstairs to where his family was sleeping. The maily sued the homeowner and won every last cent the home owner had. In this world headed by leaders like Bloomberg, justice has been turned upside down.
