Video: Car Burglarized on Troy Ave.

Early this morning, Wednesday, at around 3:30am, two burglars broke into a car parked on Troy Avenue between Crown and Montgomery Streets. The crime was captured by the surveillance cameras of a nearby building.

The burglars operated uninterrupted for over 10 minutes, demonstrating the need for improved security patrols in the neighborhood during the nighttime.

It is unclear if anything of value was stolen from the vehicle.

  • What drew their interest?

Early on in the video it seems like something drew the attention of these scumbags to this car. What was it?

Also, are there any videos from other angles showing better shots of their faces?

Thank you to everyone with security cameras.

Anyone installing a security system, consider also putting some shoulder height cameras, so we can get clear face shots of the perps. Sometimes a shot at the right height, even if a few houses or even blocks away, can help with positive ID.
