Four People Shot in Crown Heights Park

Four people, three men and one woman, were rushed to Kings County Hospital after a shooting in a Crown Heights park on Motzei Shabbos.

The four victims, all African-American, were shot in St. John’s Park, located a few blocks north of Eastern Parkway between Troy and Schenectady Avenues.

A 31-year-old old man is in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his chest, leg and arm. A 32-year-old male is in serious, but not life-threatening condition with a gunshot wound in his right ankle. A 33-year-old male is listed in stable condition with a gunshot to his left wrist. And a 33-year-old female is in serious, but not life-threatening condition with a gunshot wound to her hand.

Police said the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing.

    @Fed up,,, What would your comment be if they used knives, axes or steel pipes. Violence control is the problem. Guns are not the problem.

      I think that’s what “fed up” meant by “failed gun-control policies”. “Gun control” is a failed policy, that achieves the opposite of its stated goal. (Which is why so many people have concluded that the real goal must be something else.)

    This is NOT a Gun Control issue as I’m pretty sure these guns were illegally gotten. People who buy guns legally are trained and most of them are disciplined. Yes, there are crack pots everywhere, but legal guns can and DO save lives. Stolen guns DON’T
