Wheels Stolen Off Car in Heart of Crown Heights

After a hiatus of almost a year, the infamous Crown Heights wheels thieves are back. Their latest victim: a band new Honda sedan, whose four wheels were all stripped off and stolen.

The owner of the vehicle, a young mother, left her home this morning to drive to work, when she was mortified to find her vehicle suspended on crude cinderblocks, with the wheels nowhere to be seen.

The incident occurred on Crown St. between Albany and Troy Aves.

Investigators are currently seeking footage from nearby security cameras to try and identify the perpetrators.

i had two of my car’s wheel stolen one night in 2005 on e new york avenue… when you first see your car it is nauseating… i was lucky that someone i knew, with a tow truck, sent someone to put wheels on my car… the rims were $350 each plus the cost of a new tire…. $1000 for the experience… the garage was good to me and charged me only $350, as i remember.

#1 Most likely not to occur given the new Mayor’s position of police activism.

Another tax to pay for living in Crown Heights!!!

Cameras on every order? That just sounds inappropriate. What if someone wants to scratch their butt?
