Holiday Visitor Violently Assaulted and Robbed

A 22-year-old Israeli Bochur, visiting Crown Heights with his family for the holidays, was violently assaulted while walking home from the celebrations of Simchas Beis Hashueva on Monday night. Leaving the victim beaten and bloodied, the assailants made off with his iPhone.

The incident occurred at around 1:00am on Maple Street and Troy Avenue, where the victim is residing for the month along with his mother and sisters. The victim was on his way home from the festivities of Simchas Beis Hashueva when he was accosted by two individuals.

The duo, described as black males in their 20s and wearing ‘hoodies,’ grabbed the victim and pushed him into the rear courtyard of the Middle School for the Arts public school, and in the darkened courtyard proceeded to beat him.

One of the assailants used a 4 foot length of chain and repeatedly struck the victim in the head.

Hatzalah, Shomrim and the police were called, and Deputy Inspector John Lewis, the commanding officer of the 71st Precinct – who just moments before the incident was chatting with residents as Simchas Beis Hashueva, was the first officer on scene along with Community Affairs officer Rich Silverstein.

The attack lasted for nearly a minute and only his cries for help made them stop. The victim sustained multiple lacerations to his face as well has head trauma, and only by miracle none of the injuries were classified as life threatening. Hatzalah transported him to Kings County Hospital.

A search of the area yielded the chain that was used in the attack, as well as lots of the victim’s blood in the playground.

Unfortunately, searches of the area did not turn up the assailants. Inspector Lewis assured the victim and his family that detectives will seek out and obtain surveillance footage from the school and nearby businesses to help located the thugs.

    It’s a matter of time when not if when you find this stinking piece of animal… and he will be incarcerated for a long time. It is definitely a violent intentional pummelling. The 2 blacks could have just ran off with his phone, but decided to beat the living hell out of this bochur. Let them burn in hell in this world.

    The chcc is worthless!!! such a thing would never happen in williamsburg or Boro park without repercussions from the Jewish council. and even if the animals are caught nothing much will happen to them. let’s not forget they were wearing hoodies, we must tread lightly…….

    To #6, you are correct on that one! The question is where is Obama? Answer, he does not get involved in black on white crime cases. He and his communist puppet AG Eric Holder only harass people like George Zimmerman, who defend themselves under assault. As for the politically correct cowards, who attacked the visiting Israeli, you are no better than whites, who attacked blacks down south during the Jim Crow era!

    #4. I hear what you’re saying, however, we have to watch out for our own in CH, we will be stronger from within, not just depending on the CHJCC itself.
    And when we are stronger from within, we will find more people who can do CH and CHJCC the better way. Its not so poshut.
