Police Arrest 61-Year-Old in Stabbing Death of 21-Year-Old

Police say they’ve arrested a 61-year-old woman in connection with the brutal stabbing death of a 21-year-old man in Crown Heights.

According to investigators, Joan John is facing charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon after Akeem Burrows was found in the stairwell of a building on Eastern Parkway, near Buffalo Avenue, early Thursday morning.

EMS says they received a 911 call at around 4 a.m., and that Burrows was already dead with multiple stab wounds when they arrived.

John lives directly behind the building where Burrows was found, authorities say. The two are not related, but it’s unclear how or if they knew each other.

how utterly tragic. Any human being has a purpose. There is too few people helping to increase the quality of life. It doesnt have to do with money, it has to do with quality values, quality leaders, etc. These people have a right to have meaning and purpose to their lives, they could end up being very purposeful…..
