Rabbi Yitzchak Raitport is not even part of the CH Bais Din, yes he is part of the Boro Park Beis Din but not the CH.

  • reb yiddel hagodel

    why only one rov?
what happend to the others, it sounds funny, i think people should ask thier rav about this camp.
i also hear they are having great staff and a great program.
i think parents should look ito that first.

  • Insider

    reb yiddel … :

The letter clearly states that its “in the name of the Bais Din” which I know for a fact encluded every one of the rabbonim listed on the letterhead, thats everyone from Rabbi’s Osdoba, Shvei, Raitport, Zirkind and Segal.

    And to not CH:

Rabbi’s Shvei and Osdoba are listed on this psak, are they not part of the bais din too? Or is it you follow ‘Your’ rabbonim when you see fit?

  • Justice

anybody who knows any history knows that the Camp was broght and paid for by Hershkop and compeny.

  • Lubavitcher

Just keep your cool everyo one and dont get involved in Machlokes it leads to daeth .The story of Korach from the torah and the satmar stories should be enough of a warning for us .

  • anon:

so this chayolei hamelech program is against the rabbonim, thets weird.
is there anyone whos still ganna go this camp?

  • Mottel

Guys, your Beis Din came out with a ruling, an IKUL –
    FOLLOW YOUR RABBONIM

How do you expect your kids to have respect for and follow Torah if you guys don’t?

  • bunch of concerned parents!

well,i will look for another camp.im not interested to send my child to a camp that isnt glatt kosher. hey,you never know, what happens if the hershkops win, will i get back a refund from the spritzers! NEVER!

  • Lashon Hurah

    To chaim b

You call this interesting stuff, well I call this lashon hurah.

  • Meir

Why didn’t the Bais Din write this letter before the camp registration started, Is the Bais Din trying to ruin Spritzer’s business.

  • Ganovim messing over the innocent again!

    To Bunch of concerned parents:

I am sorry to break it to you, but most camps are full. Why couldnt people see strait through this Shpritzer swindler from the stsrt? As soon as his camp was announced I thought to myself: Oh No! He will make the best offers to parents, they will run to him, and then get left without a camp for their kids (alot of these kids are great kids, that would be accepted anywhere if they applied on time) And now they will be wothout a camp, or at least with a camp of their liking. It is a shame. At least you can learn a lesson: DON’T GO RUNNING TO A NEW MOISOD OR CAMP JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR ENTICING OFFERS, IF YOU DONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH. I hope that you will atleast get back your money. GOOD LUCK!!!

    A Kosher and Frielichin Pesach.

Quite frankly I have dealt with Spritzer and Machne and have found them always to be very honest. A couple of years back I procrastinated six months before I cashed a camp paycheck and it bounced — not only did they immediately send me another check; they covered the extra bank expenses etc without being asked.

  • fyi

    to CM,
A couple of years back Spritzer did not have the camp. In fact it must be 4 or 5 years already maybe more that he doesn’t have the camp. You were probably too young to be getting a paycheck then.

  • You Go Rabbi Raitport

Finally a Rov with some guts and not afraid to take a stance.
Rabbi Raitport is the only Rov that is not blinded by money, As you can see from the story with the Matzos some are. Rabbi Raitport B”H has money of his own and can’t be bought off with money, and therefore is not blinded by money and he can rule according to Shulchan Orach.
He is the only Rov I would trust to tell it like it is.

  • In resonse

It would be so nice to see people in the community not getting involved in this dispute. This is a matter that should be resolved in a beis din only.

Let’s show ourselves and our youth that we respect the authority in our comunity. Let us not politicize this dispute. Let us allow this to be resolved by our Rabbonim and the parties involved ONLY.

Let’s spend our time being involved in good things. Better to save our expression for things that are giving and helpful to others.

  • Inquisitive

Whats an Ikul? Why are people taking sides on this issue? That is quite low behavior. The courts will deal with it.

  • zeev

wasnt this already in the courts? so how is ending up again in bais din?

  • Summer of a lifetime

To some of the above responses:
Don’t be so biased when you don’t even know the facts. As a previous and very honored employee of Machane Menachem, I will tell you that this camp was and will be this summer the greatest camp of all time!!
Who can’t agree that Shloime Rutman is the best camp director and his staff put their heart and soul into their summers??
When such a Psak is announced by a lone single Rabbi, all we need to do is laugh and say “OK. next joke!”
Apparently this whole “dispute”, as they are calling it was never actually brought before the Bais Din, which is why a bored man had to just create this story on his own.
Let’s just get on with our summer plans…and remember that you don’t want to be turned down from an amazing summer at Machane Menachem…so register now!!!

  • schmalt herring incorporated

first of all i agree with “in response” and I think that all of you should too.Just let the beis din figure it out with the people involved- which is not you-. and if you regestered your child there umm im out of ideas oh well maybe wait a few days and see what happens.
secondly; its great to see everyones big egos about their great kids that will be accepted anywhere?

  • Yossi G

to the best of my recolection there is a clear psak put out several years ago regarding this matter, and the Beios Din , both R’ Osdoba and R’Shvei sided with Shpritzer, R’ Osdoba is not signed on this letter, i would not take it for face value

“and the Beios Din , both R’ Osdoba and R’Shvei sided with Shpritzer,”

This case has been in court for 7 years (ending 4 years ago) that means that any din torah that took place started about 11 years ago. I’m prity sure that was much before R’Shvei.
I would not take your comment at face value.

  • Chosid

to “Summer of a lifetime” (Rutman)

first of all Rutman is a idiot anyone who ever dealt with him can testify.

the Rabbi signed B“SHAM the B”D so it was not a “lone” Rov

the whole camp is build am MACHLIOKES if not for some people having an interest in fighting the existing camps (that are under the Rebes leadership)Shipritzer and his idiot son-inlew would have not even one boy coming

  • Anonymous

Anybody that can bring proof that the Hershkop family took Shpritzer to court (and not the other way around) will get $10,000 by the end of Yom-tov!

If you don’t know your facts, better not to say anything!

  • Att: Dov

No..He might be right about Schwei… which is the problem, because he sided with him without ever hearing a word of arguments from the other side.

  • Att: Summer of a lifetime..

Why is it that anyone who has the ‘points’ that you bring up write exactly the same, with the same rhetoric?
Are you a lone very bored troll going on different websites to teach us your facts of life and advertise your camp.
btw, just wondering…who labeled you honored employee, yourself, spritzer, or rutman, or the mayor of lackawaxen?
oh, and count me in for one vote that Shloimie rutman is not the ‘greatest director in the world’

  • Impressed with Rabbi R

A thank you to Rabbi Raitport for being the only Rov in our community to be mekayem ‘v’lo soguru mipney ish’
(basically, a rov should not be intimidated by community bullies).

  • another camp directer

as far as I know R.Marlow OBM and the beis din ahave already given p’sak regarding the camp and the hershkops werent happy with the p’sak and they took the issue to court causing the camp to be closed for years and nobody gained and then when they lost in court do they cry and go to the beis din again
there are clear letters and court documents to prove this if this comment get’s posted I can supply those also

  • Anonymous

    To: another camp directer.

Like I wrote above, you”ll get $10,000 by the end of Yom-Tov if you can proof that.

If sprtzer is so right and has the law on his side let him come and proof himself.
accoding to you thats so simple, open and closed case.

  • qute funny they ruled just the opposite

    if you know your history
the bes din ruled in shpritzer favor before the politics with odoba & shwvei came about and when hershkop got the camp the bes din ruled that know should go to his camp so he had to cancel his plans to make a camp and rent it out to other peaple now that shpritzer got it back whats the problem now funnny thing only one person sighned such a psak ita a offically a bes din either 4-5 cant find another person to sighn it something is deffinlt very fishey here

  • shmais

Regarding the ganev (spritzer) everyone knows very well to keep away.

However when the Hershkops turned against the Rabonim for not ruling in their favor that was a petty shame. If they are authentic genuinely honest inf\dividual they should have reasoned with bet din or chosen a zabla. Once they antagonized the Bet Din and cursed Rabbi MArlow z’l, Ozdoba shlita, etc. they lost all of my respect. Though

  • seeing the good and doing good

to Dov are you arguing about that the Hershkopt’s went to beis din and lost yes or no

or are you arguing about when they took spritzer to court and seemingly won the camp back basically taking it out of his hands for a few years
or that spritzer who doest need the camp to make money went out of his way and spent money on lawyers ect. to get it back and open the camp in spite of all that went down we should thank him because competition makes all the camps better priced and better programs for our children whether you send your kids or not
    a good pesach to all

about the 10.000 find a shliach or shluchim that can use it
or even better u can help out 10 parents who wanna send their kids to camp and for money reasons can’t and all will be happy
