Brand New Kingston Ave. Asphalt Torn Up

Well, that didn’t last long. After Crown Heights braved the pains of a massive upgrade to Kingston Ave. two summers ago, crews were seen cutting up the busy avenue’s fresh asphalt once again.

The crews are installing plastic piping, which will house fiber optic cables that will be used to provide Verizon’s ‘Fios’ service to Crown Heights homes. Fios internet is considered far superior to broadband cable.

Verizon plans to connect cables running through the side streets of the neighborhood to this main one running along Kingston Ave. Individual homes will be connected to the cables running along the side streets.

Many feel that this activity runs counter to assurances from the city that Kingston Ave. will be designated as a ‘protected street,’ which utilities companies are not allowed to cut up.

Let me guess, you’re one of the nice folks who always moan about how everything is crumbling, but guess what, when it comes time to fix things its not done fast enough for you?

Your life must be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HARD!

Wow! You have a major problem. I’m sure you can find a great therapist who speciliazes in paranoia.

BTW I wasn’t aware anything was crumbling & yes, I AM nice. I’m being polite to you even though you are clearly an idiot.

[1] cablevision sucks and its a travesty that for the same price, i can get insanely fast speeds from FiOS
[2] the street will continue to be cut up, that is (unfortunately) what innovation looks like… oh, you don’t like innovation? many other places on the map to move to…
[3] I want FiOS. So do my neighbors. We’re okay with this.

So, where is FIOS? It’s February now, I can’t wait to get rid of Cablevision rip off!!

Internet and phone but no Fios. They have a partnership with Dish Network for TV in my area of Montgomery and Bedford Ave. I really wish they would hurry up and bring TV service to us over here. Cable Vision sucks!!!
